Astros Designate Recently Claimed Pitcher For Assignment
The Houston Astros designated RHP Kent Emanuel for assignment on Tuesday, four days after he was claimed off waivers from the Los Angeles Dodgers.
Emanuel's Short Astros Stint
Emanuel, 29, did not appear in a game for the Astros, and he was designated for assignment to make room for RHP Enoli Paredes on the 40-man roster.
Astros Depth
The Astros have plenty of starting pitching depth, with Justin Verlander, Framber Valdez, Lance McCullers Jr., José Urquidy, and Luis Garcia all in the rotation. Emanuel's departure indicates that the Astros are comfortable with their current pitching staff.
